Kameela is a homozygous black 2002 mare. Her
sire, RH Safar, is a lovelyblack son of Thee Desperado out of a black Hazim
Halim daughter, Chelima.Her dam is a grey daughter of National champion *Ibn
Safinaz son Imperial Saturn, out of a daughter of the Gleanloch import *Zaghloul
and Kahleela.
She is smart, spoiled, and the pride of our barn. She
knows exactly how to get a carrot or a scratch on the withers. Charlie
and Edward quickly learned how to get "giraffe lips" by scratching in just
the right place on her withers. I selected Kameela
as my foundation mare based on her impressive outcross pedigree in combination
with a lovely head and marvelous floating trot.
Kameela had a beautiful black colt, sired by Mahmoud G on

Kameela is doing well under saddle, in dressage, endurance
and Western Pleasure. She
is in training (and we hope to show at WCAHA show) in dressage.

Sired
by the black Straight Egyptian Bahim Hisan, who also sired Prince Asheem,
AERC Heavyweight National Champion Endurance Horse, AERC Reserve Champion
Best Conditioned Endurance Horse, and 4th place Race of Champions Endurance
Race. Bahim's sire, Ibn Morafic, was a National Futurity Champion,
sold by Gleannlock Farms for $165,000 at age 22 during their dispersal
auction. Bahim's tail female line traces to Radia, "The loveliest of
all Egypt". Shiraz's dam's sire was El Mokhtar, chosen not only for
his black color, outstanding conformation and beauty, but also for
his athletic ability for the action shot and race scenes in the movie
The Black Stallion Returns. Shiraz has proven his ability to pass on
his outstanding gene pool, with foals as nice as or better than the
parents. His foals have his excellent legs, long neck, size and athletic
ability, as well as his very workable temperament. Shiraz has been
ridden English and Western, and is beginning both dressage and endurance
training, successfully finishing his first 25 mile endurance event.
