Curundu Samiyah is very a tall, smooth moving bay
mare, who is extremely gentle and kind. She is sired by Curundu Java, by Midnight
Bahim out of Greystone Fasadd, an Asadd daughter out of an imported mare. Both
Asadd and his sire Sultan were National champions. Midnight Bahim is by Bahim
Hisan, Ibn Morafic son (see reference stallions), out of a daughter of Maalik.
Samiyah is almost certain to produce black, as has her mother, being linebred
on Bahim Hisan.

Anheuser Busch Corporation chose her great grand sire Bahim over 100 other
black stallions to represent their TV and poster campaign “The Busch
Black Stallion.” Bahim's sire, Ibn Morafic, was a National Futurity Champion,
sold by Gleannloch Farms for $165,000 at age 22 during their dispersal auction.
Ibn Morafic (US National Futurity Champion stallion, US Top Ten English Pleasure,
Canadian Top Ten stallion) was by the incomparable imported Morafic by Nazeer
and Mabrouka, and out of the imported Anter daughter Kahramana. Bahim's
tail female line traces to Radia, “The loveliest of all Egypt”,
through the imported Hayam.

BAHIM

AK Alli-Shar was bred by Bentwood Farms and was by Moniet El Sharaf out of
the Morafic son Ibn Moniet El Nefous (US National Top Ten stallion 1971) and
Bint Bint Moniet (a U.S. National Top Ten halter mare and producer of multiple
national champions), bred by Richard Pritzloff out of the two Nazeer offspring
he imported from Egypt, Rashad Ibn Nazeer and Bint Moniet El Nefous. Ak
Alli-Shar's dam was by Ansata Abbas Pasha. Abbas Pasha was by the
imported Ansata Ibn Halima out of Ansata Bint Mabrouka and was a Regional
International Champion stallion.
Samiyah has proven to be a formidable endurance horse and is now in
training in dressage, and being ridden regularly in the ring and on trails.
