Shahwa is a 1987 straight Egyptian Al Khamsa 15.2H bay mare from champion
halter and performance heirloom bloodlines. She has a wonderful trot,
strong short body, great tail, huge nostrils and eyes, and strong legs and
hooves. She is calm and intelligent.
Shahwa is out of the imported Gharib son, Norus, and halter and performance
winning *Ibn Hafiza daughter out of *SF Bint Mamlouka.
Shahwa has the distinction of being a producer of tremendous endurance horses. She
has produced one Tevis cup qualifier, Selket Shadow by *Furno Khamal. The
Tevis cup is a 100 mile endurance ride through desert and mountains in the
southwestern part of the US. She has produced a halter winning colt,
MI Alaa Amon, by a Shaikh El Badi son.
Shahwa had a beautiful bay filly, Shaboom, sired by Ramses
Boomerang on March 26,2008. She is being rebred to Boomer for a
2009 foal.
